Every story here happened to someone. There’s a name, a place, a date, and a paper trail. We find the incident reports, the agency files, the researcher who wrote the paper, the person who was standing there.
Then we tell it the way you’d tell it across a fire, when there’s no reason to exaggerate because the real version is already enough.
